The NEST Project at The Reser
The NEST Project at The Reser:
as part of “Hope is Beyond Words”
Over the past year, a cohort of survivors of sexual and domestic violence were led through a deeply personal process of building a large-scale sculptural nest. Within this sanctuary, participants were invited to enter, rest, and reflect. Together, we gathered stories, built trust, and explored what rebuilding safety and belonging can look like after trauma. From these tender and transformative moments, nine extraordinary individuals were photographed and shared their stories through audio and video — forming the heart of this project. The upcoming NEST Project exhibition will be part of a larger show titled “Hope Is Beyond Words,” presented in collaboration with Victim Services of the Beaverton Police Department, the City of Beaverton, and The Patricia Reser Center for the Arts, where it will be on view for six weeks. This exhibition will share portraits and stories of resilience, healing, and creativity — a public celebration of courage and community. The project was made possible through community support from Kickstarter donations and City of Beaverton Arts Grant
